MuHack:About

The µhack initiative was born from the need for a place where enthusiasts of free culture, electronics, computer science, and everything involving technology can meet to exchange ideas, knowledge, and equipment. For this reason, we are doing our best to establish ourselves as a point of reference and meeting place where anyone can join without needing to be an expert in anything—just the right attitude is enough.

We want µhack to be a place for all those people united by a passion and a desire to understand how things work.

According to our statute, µhack is a non-profit organization with the purpose of promoting the adoption, development, experimentation and study of free technologies, fostering a culture based on collaboration, research, merit and the open sharing of resources and knowledge.

In simple terms, we are tinkerers who aren’t afraid to get our hands dirty to satisfy our curiosity. We want to meet new people, work together, learn and to do so, we plan to offer courses, conferences, workshops, lab experiences, group projects and any other kind of initiative that comes to mind.

The association is mainly funded by its members through membership fees and various fundraising ideas.
